The different segments in SaaS are growing at different rates.  The fastest growing segments in are Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Content, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Communications and Collaboration (CCC).

  • Today SaaS services represent 10% of the overall enterprise software market
    • SaaS is representing of the total software revenue in 2009:
      • 24% of the CRM market
      • 4 % of enterprise content management (ECM) market
      • 82% of Web conferencing market
  • Gartner predicted that by 2011, 25 percent of new business software will be delivered by SaaS.
  • By 2014 IDC also predicted that around  65 percent of new products from established ISVs will be delivered as SaaS services while SaaS revenue will account to nearly 26 percent of the net new-growth in the software market in 2014.
  • By the end of 2010, 80% of U.S. organizations will use at least one SaaS-delivered application for business use.
